The moment Allison asked us to photographer her big day, we couldn’t wait for this past Saturday to finally arrive. Stacey and Allison were on the same college freshman hall, and we were honored when she came to us to document her and Andrew’s nuptials! The bride and groom said their vows at First United Methodist of Birmingham, and then celebrated with family and friends at Bridgestreet Gallery and Loft. Allison and Andrew were so patient with some not-so-friendly rain clouds, and we were able to sneak in a few portraits on Morris Avenue between the sprinkles. Here’s a few favs from their big day …

Jori and Louis are one of those couples that remind me why I love being a wedding photographer. From the first time I met Jori to talk about her plans for the big day, to saying goodbye after an amazing reception at The Club …. these newlyweds made photographing their nuptials a joy! Mimi Bittick coordinated the day and made everything go so seamlessly … and Buffy Hargett worked her magic with the flowers (as always). Here’s a few favorites from the big day!

It was another wonderful day at the Sonnet House (when is it not?) for Jamie and Freddie’s big day! It seems like forever since we’ve had a chance to shoot a ceremony on the fireplace porch, so were excited when the weather held and the newlyweds got to say their vows outside in front of family and friends! Then it was off to dinner and dancing … and the most delicious pies from Edgar’s! Here’s a few favs from their big day!

It’s taken us WAY too long to post a preview of Mary and Carter’s big day! We had picture-perfect fall weather … and we’re blessed with some great locations to photograph the newlyweds! They started the day at the Tutwiler Hotel to get ready, before heading to the Chapel at Church of the Highlands for the ceremony. After the “I Do’s”, we headed back to downtown Birmingham for a crazy-unique reception at Urban Standard. The vintage coffeehouse vibe fit these two perfectly. The ladies from M. Elizabeth Events made sure every part of the day went flawlessly … Dorothy McDaniel Flower Market handled all the florals … and El Barrio provided the delicious dinner! Here’s a few favorites from their big day …

Whitney and Gabe helped us say goodbye to fall this past week, with a beautiful engagement session at Oak Mountain State Park. One of the nicest things about shooting on a weekday with these two, was having the majority if the park all to ourselves! Here’s a few favorites from their session as we say adios changing leaves and comfy temperatures!

It’s kind of ridiculous how quickly kids grow when you’re a parent. But they seem to grow even quicker when you’re photographer their first year! Here’s a few favorites from Isaac’s first session as a two-year-old!

Laura and Jarrod are giving me two wonderful locations to photograph their portraits over the next six months! They’ll exchange vows later this year at a private home in gorgeous Highlands, N.C. … and this past weekend we shot their engagement photos at some awesome spots around Atlanta. After a few portraits at their backyard, we headed over to the Beltline beside Piedmont Park … then on to Ponce City Market … and finished the evening at Westside Provisions District. Each spot was packed full of unique backdrops and pretty light! Here’s a few favs from their session …

Brooke and Jonathan celebrated their gorgeous nuptials on a beautiful early spring day in downtown Birmingham. If the weather was any sign of our spring-to-come, I can’t wait to get started! The bridesmaids got ready for the big day at the Tutwiler Hotel, while the groomsmen prepped across across town at Embassy Suites. After a heartfelt first look and some portraits around downtown, it was off to B&A Warehouse for the main event! The always-wonderful Nationwide Coverage rocked on into the night … and capped off a great day with the newlyweds! Here’s a few favs from their Birmingham wedding …

I’m so grateful to Jennifer and Daniel for making my day an easy one this past Sunday. Despite dealing with a surprise sickness during their shoot, these two were so patient with me … and I’m excited with how the photos turned out! We photographed around the blooming Botanical Gardens, and then finished with some photos at the Tip Top Grill in Bluff Park. It was one of the breezier days we’ve seen in awhile, but these two handled it like champs! Here’s a few favorites from their session!
