Kelcey & Wil

It was another beautiful, albeit warm, wedding day in the South as Kelcey and Wil said there “I Do’s” at Cahaba Park Church at the Carraway-Davie House! We’re always excited when we get to work with folks that we know from other walks of life, and my wife had the pleasure of working with Wil at her day job for almost six years. These two hosted the perfect laid-back spring wedding, complete with a beautiful patio ceremony … and food trucks at the reception. The always-awesome team from HotHouse Design Studio once again knocked the florals out of the park, and Cantina and Saw’s BBQ were on hand to make sure everyone was stuffed with some delicious eats. Here’s a few favorites from Kelcey and Wil’s spring nuptials …

One of the things we’ll miss the most about shooting weddings in Alabama will be the fun-filled days we’ve spent documenting couples’ “I Do’s” at The Sonnet House. It’s by far our favorite venue to shoot at … not only for its beauty, but also for the amazing people who work there. We’ve been blessed to document countless weddings on the property … and Sara and Ray’s is definitely up there among our all-time favorites. They are one of the kindest and most considerate couples you’ll ever meet. They were constantly going out of their way to make sure all their family and guests were having a wonderful day … whilst stopping occasionally to share a hug, kiss, or squeeze of the hand with each other. It was blatantly clear how much in love these two were … and from a photographer’s perspective, that’s a dream come true. As a double bonus to working at the Sonnet House, Sara and Ray brought in a wonderful group of vendors to ensure the day went off without a hitch. We got to work alongside our friends from Kinora Films documenting the newlyweds’ nuptials, which is always a pleasure! Here’s a few favs from another wonderful day at The Sonnet House …

Alecia & Nathan

From the moment Stacey and I sat down with Alecia and Nathan at Jive’s a few months back, we knew it would be a wonderful fit if they opted to use us for the big day. We were so excited when they asked us to document their nuptials, and couldn’t wait to get started! This past weekend I had the pleasure of shooting their engagement photos around Colorado Springs … with stops in Old Colorado City and at Palmer Park. Photographing these two was a breeze, since they’re obviously very much in love! It’s the kind of session where I get to just sit back and shoot them being … well … them! We can’t wait for their big day later this year at The Hillside Gardens! Here’s a few favorites from our weekend shoot to tie us over in the meantime …

As our summer wedding season winds down, we were so excited to get to spend one last weekend down in Birmingham for Abigail and Jonathan’s big day! These two have such a chemistry, it made our jobs as their wedding photographers WAY too easy. The Alabama summer rain, on the other hand, wasn’t as cooperative. Thankfully, the weather came and went fast enough that we were able to spend some time outside making pretty pictures with these two, their families, and friends. Here’s a few favorites from Abigail and Jonathan’s nuptials this past weekend!
